Our Story
On Boggy Bay Farm, it's more than a job, it’s a calling. Situated on 115 acres in Greenville, Florida, our pigs live between forest shade and open pasture, roaming our creeks and perennial bogs, the way pigs were meant to live. We steward soil, water, and natural habitats, raising animals without confinement or chemical crutches.
We raise heritage breeds that thrive outdoors…Hampshire, Old Spot, and Duroc because great pork starts with great genetics. Our pigs grow naturally, not accelerated through growth hormones and paylean, resulting in meat with real character: deep color, delicate marbling, and a lingering, nutty sweetness.
We believe you deserve to know where your meat comes from…Ours; is always raised in low stress environments, NO antibiotics, growth hormones, or vaccines, ever! We rotate our herds across fresh pastures in order to rest the dirt and encourage diverse forage. This allows each paddock to fully recover before the pigs cycle through again…. It’s all about regenerative agriculture with one clear goal on Boggy Bay: manage the soil, water and livestock better every year while putting better food on your table today.
Why not supermarket pork? All of it comes from animals raised indoors in high density environments, on concrete and harvested young, before flavor and texture naturally and fully develop. We take the opposite approach: more space, more time, more nature, more flavor.
